Shawn Clarke is a seasoned aviation leader with 26 years of distinguished service at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), specializing in aviation safety, risk management, and organizational leadership. He currently serves as Group Manager for the Safety Intelligence and Response Group, where he oversees critical aviation safety investigations and mitigates risk across the National Airspace System.
Throughout his career, Shawn has held leadership roles at some of the nation’s most complex air traffic control facilities, including Washington National Airport, Newport News/Williamsburg International, Richmond International, Pensacola, and Potomac TRACON. His experience reflects deep operational expertise and the ability to lead high-stakes teams in dynamic, mission-critical environments.
Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science from Hampton University and a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Law from Regent University. He also serves as President of the Hampton University Aviation Advisory Board, contributing to the development of future aviation professionals.
