Ashanti commenced her Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) professional journey with RCG in the summer of 2019, following her graduation from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice. During her pursuit of a Master of Science in forensic psychology, she sought employment experiences aligned with her academic background. This period led her to discover her true passion for ABA.
Ashanti served as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for approximately four years, gaining experience in various settings, including in-home, clinical, and school environments. Recognizing the significance of her role, she embarked on the path to becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), achieving these milestones in the summer of 2025. Consequently, she made the decision to return to RCG’s school preparation program as a Clinical Supervisor.
Drawing upon her ABA expertise, Ashanti has developed a deep appreciation for the collaborative nature of working with caregivers. She finds immense fulfillment in closely monitoring the progress of each child and recognizing the inherent strengths within them.
In her leisure time, Ashanti engages in various activities, such as exploring new hobbies, spending time with her younger brother, and attending concerts.
