Behavior Technician Jobs at RCG

ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician

Location: Richmond, VA  |  Schedule: Full Time  |  Level: Entry Level

Candidates will primarily work in our center-based ABA program, with the opportunity for additional hours providing in-home ABA therapy based on program needs.

If you’re looking to begin or grow your career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), this role offers the perfect starting point. As an ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician (BT), you will support children with autism and developmental delays using evidence-based ABA strategies designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Behavior Technicians help children build meaningful skills in communication, socialization, play, independence, and behavioral regulation. ABA therapy has been clinically shown to increase positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors through structured teaching and positive reinforcement.

This role may involve supporting clients who demonstrate challenging behavior, including aggression or self-injury. Ideal candidates remain calm, respectful, and client-centered while ensuring safety and dignity.

Center-based technicians may also assist with transporting clients using an RCG vehicle and must maintain a clean driving record.

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and assist with client transportation as needed.
  • Be available between 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (full-time) and one Saturday per month (typically 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.).
